Iggy Azalea explains why she’s quit OnlyFans despite being named as top celebrity earner on platform

Iggy Azalea’s Shift from OnlyFans to Building a Community on Telegram

Rapper Iggy Azalea recently opened up about her surprising decision to leave OnlyFans despite being one of the platform’s top earners, raking in nearly $9.2 million monthly. Speaking on the Unchained podcast, Azalea explained her shift away from the subscription-based platform, opting instead for a Telegram community where she can foster more genuine connections.

Azalea joined OnlyFans in 2023 with the intent to share exclusive content, including images that didn’t fit Instagram’s guidelines. Yet, as she engaged with her fans, she realized many valued the personal connection more than the transactional nature of the platform. This insight led her to establish a presence on Telegram, allowing for community interaction outside a strictly paywall-based model.

Describing her OnlyFans experience as a “learning experience,” Azalea emphasized that fans on Telegram appreciate a “friendship connection” that goes beyond financial support. While she’s not earning as much, she sees Telegram as a better fit for the authentic engagement her fans seek.
