Last summer, Alex Jones and her family experienced a “traumatising” week when they had to rush their kitten Sabrina for emergency care following a collision with a car. Using her Instagram stories the presenter spoke candidly about the upsetting ordeal and disclosed how celebrity vet Noel Fitzpatrick, known best as Channel 4’s The Supervet, intervened to help save the animal’s life.
At the time, the presenter called Noel “the light at the end of a pretty scary 24 hours”, as she expressed gratitude to her friend for delivering expert assistance during what she described as a “heartbreaking” period.

She shared a video on Instagram, saying: “Lots of you have been asking how Miss Sabrina is doing and I don’t think I ever did a proper update.
“So, rewind to I think it was middle of July. One evening just before we were due to go away the next day, she crawled back into the house and I could hear her crying downstairs. She’d been hit, we think by a car, we didn’t see it.
“She was really badly hurt and she made her way all the way back home. But she was in a lot of pain, but we had no idea.
“Took her to the overnight vet and they thought we’re gonna lose her. They put her in an oxygen chamber. Fast forward the story, we eventually took her to Noel Fitzpatrick, super vet, super human, turns out.
“Over months and months and months, he fixed her. So he operated, she’d smashed her pelvis into bits and he put this cage, like a scaffolding, inside and outside of her, which held it all together. She had to be in a cage for six weeks, it was awful.”
Alex showed off Sabrina in the video, showing that she is well and happily walking around unassisted. “It’s a miracle. She is completely fine. She’s back to her usual self. Loving life,” Alex beamed.
“So Sabrina, the wonder cat, lives on and better than ever. You would never know anything happened. She’s a lovely girl.”
Alex’s followers showed their support in the comments, praising the work of Noel Fitzpatrick. Singer Shirlie Kemp shared: “God bless her and @profnoelfitzpatrick, he is the best and she is the cutest”
Another commenter added: “Bless her, she’s obviously one tough cookie! Noel is so amazing … how incredible that he was able to turn her life around again after such a terrible injury.”
A third said: “Oh that is such good news that Miss Sabrina has fully recovered. Thank goodness for Noel and his fantastic team.”
