King Charles has stepped out in London today, just hours after news broke that his brother Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor had been arrested.
On Thursday morning, police were seen at Andrewβs temporary home in the Sandringham Estate, where it was reported that they arrested the former duke on suspicion of misconduct in a public office.
The King, 77, issued a statement after the arrest, confirming that the Palace will assist with any investigations if needed. He then stepped out to attend day one of London Fashion Week, where he received a mixed response from the public.
While the monarch waved to crowds with a warm smile, a body language expert said the βsadnessβ beneath it was evident.

Talking to The Express, body language expert Judi James said: βLooking frail and a little hunched in his vast overcoat, Charlesβs body language signals suggest a desire for βbusiness as usualβ here, but underpinned by a suggestion of anxiety or sadness.
βHe rests heavily on the interior door handle as he exits from his car, and he fiddles with the buttons of his coat in what looks like an excuse to perform a self-protective barrier gesture.
βHis mouth smile looks like the classic royal smile but his puckered and steepled brows, plus his eye expression, suggest sadness here.
βThere is a swift glance over his shoulder at the crowds and an acknowledging wave but there are no signs of any desire to hang around longer to connect with any possible fans.β

The King was not the only royal to continue on with public duty today, with Queen Camilla having been the first royal to be seen in public after Andrewβs arrest.
Camilla, like her husband, ignored questions about Andrewβs arrest as she left Sinfonia Smith Square Hall following a lunchtime orchestral concert.
It is understood that neither the King nor Buckingham Palace received advance notice before Andrew was taken into custody this morning.
Andrew has always denied any wrongdoing or accusations against him. Police have provided no further update since Andrewβs arrest this morning.
